Low Carbon is a privately-owned UK investment and asset management company founded in 2011. We are committed to making a positive and significant impact on climate change by investing in large-scale renewable energy projects. Specifically, we target investments in solar, onshore wind, offshore wind, waste-to-energy, battery storage and other proven renewable energy technologies.

The Low Carbon platform enables the deployment of capital at scale into renewables, investing across the full life-cycle from concept, through to development, construction and operation.

We are able to do this thanks to our complementary business units:

Investment. Our team of specialist investment professionals harnesses Low Carbon’s balance sheet capital to develop renewable energy projects at scale from concept stage through to construction. The team also provides attractive investment opportunities in renewable energy infrastructure across the UK and Europe for large-scale investors.

Operational Asset Management. Our team provides lifecycle asset management services to Low Carbon and third parties for a ~1GW portfolio of operating renewable energy assets.

The Low Carbon investment model has enabled the deployment of more than £600 million in capital into renewable infrastructure with more than 1GW already developed. Our proprietary renewable energy pipeline currently stands at more than 8GW, ideally positioning us to capitalise on investment opportunities as the need for green power and energy security increases. Low Carbon’s investments are generating sufficient clean energy to power more than 390,000 homes*, saving in excess of 750,000 tonnes of CO2* each year.
