Addressing a global issue such as climate change through sustainable renewable energy investment can seem like a daunting task, however it’s easy to stay motivated when those around you share a similar ambition. It’s an inspirational place to work.

Leading our Investor Relations work, I’m regularly reminded of Low Carbon’s amazing growth and appeal to a variety of partners. It’s great to work for a high-growth organisation where my input is valued early on in the process and I can clearly see the impact I’m having.

I am delighted to be working at a company that values its people and the environment in the fight against climate change. Low Carbon supports my personal development and encourages further learning both inside and outside of work. We don’t just work with communities but are part of the communities and so work in a collaborative manner to reach our net zero targets.

Other organisations spend lot of time (and money!) trying to find their purpose to help people engage. Our purpose is front and centre for all of us and it couldn’t get much more important than having an impact on climate change. I find that genuinely inspiring. Also, we are at a hugely exciting inflection point as a business - a really great reputation, a clearly defined mission, a first class team and solid backing. Everything to play for and so energising to be part of the next phase of the journey. 

Low Carbon is growing rapidly and has set some ambitious and aspirational targets for what we want to achieve. This is a great time to join a team that is genuinely passionate about making a difference to climate change and provides the opportunity to be part of that exciting journey.

I am excited to transition to a permanent role after completing my internship as we embark on our journey toward a technology transformation. It’s a fulfilling place to work due to its strong commitment to my personal development, the direct positive impact of my work on climate change, and the incredible range of driven and supportive colleagues.
