Low Carbon is proud to be a signatory of the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), an international global network of asset managers, owners and service providers working together to put responsible investment into practice.

The PRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment. It works to understand the investment implications of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors, and to support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions.

As a signatory, Low Carbon has committed to integrate the PRI’s six investment Principles – which incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors – into investment decision making and ownership practices. The principles are:

  1. 1. To incorporate Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes
  2. 2. To be an active owner and to incorporate ESG issues into our ownership policies and practices
  3. 3. To seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which we invest
  4. 4. To promote acceptance and implementation of the Principles within the investment industry
  5. 5. To work with the PRI Secretariat and other signatories to enhance their effectiveness in implementing the Principles
  6. 6. To report on our activities and progress towards implementing the Principles
