The proposed Parc Solar Traffwll development will have an export capacity of circa ~50MW of electricity. The clean energy generated will save approximately 14,500 tonnes of CO2 each year, the equivalent of taking more than 5,500 cars off the road.

Thaxted Solar Farm

Terrier’s Farm Solar Farm is approximately 1.5km east of Thaxted covering an area of 50 hectares (124 acres) and will generate around 42MWp of clean renewable electricity.

The site will connect directly to the adjacent UKPN substation.

Eynsham Solar Farm

Site overview
Located in West Oxfordshire, Eynsham Solar Farm will produce clean renewable electricity with a capacity of approximately 32MWp which could power just over 10,000 local homes.

The electricity produced on this solar farm will be exported to the local distribution network (LDN) with surplus electricity being stored onsite in batteries, as well as charging at times of low demand and exporting power back onto the electricity grid at times of high demand or when solar irradiation is low.

Inkersall Road Solar Farm

The proposed Inkersall Road Solar Farm will produce clean renewable electricity by photovoltaic (PV) solar panels and will have a capacity of approximately 40 megawatts peak (MWp). The electricity produced on this solar farm will be exported to the local distribution network (LDN) via underground cables with surplus electricity being stored onsite in batteries.

The site, located to the north-west of Duckmanton and to the south of Staveley, is approximately 58 hectares.

Fox Covert Solar Farm

Site overview

Fox Covert Solar Farm will generate clean, renewable energy to supply power directly into the local network via underground cables. At approximately 22 megawatts peak (MWp) the solar farm could provide enough energy to power over 7,300 homes.

Fox Covert Solar Farm is located roughly 1.8km to the east of Adstock and roughly 1.3km south-west of Great Horwood.
