Given Britain and Europe’s favourable and often breezy climate, wind energy is attractively viable and highly effective; wind power is a vital component of the UK’s renewable energy mix with the UK leading the way in Europe with 2.4GW of new installations in 2019.

As of 2019, Europe had a total of 205GW installed wind capacity, with wind power accounting for 15% of the EU’s total electricity demand.

Recognising its importance, Low Carbon is currently developing a robust onshore wind portfolio.
