Low Carbon is proud to be a Certified B Corporation®.
As a B Corp we are part of a community of 259 businesses in the UK and just over 3,200 businesses worldwide who use the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. Each B Corp community member must meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
Becoming a B Corp is a rigorous process. Our business performance was measured across five categories: governance, workers, customers, community, and the environment. As part of the certification process, we amended our corporate governance meaning we are now legally bound to make decisions which balance the needs of everyone – our stakeholders, our employees, investment partners, customers, society, and the environment. It is our legal obligation to balance profit and purpose.
This approach aligns perfectly with the vision on which Low Carbon was founded: to make a positive and significant impact on the causes of climate change, creating a genuinely low-carbon future.
As a B Corp, we envision a world that uses business as a force for good. We believe we must play our part at the forefront of change in the global economy, seeking to do no harm and benefiting all. To do so requires that we act with the understanding that we are dependent upon one another and thus responsible for each other and for future generations.
