Energy Networks Europe and Low Carbon

Low Carbon holds a majority stake in combined heat and power company, ENE Developments Limited (ENE).

ENE is a joint venture between Low Carbon and Energy Networks (Europe) Limited, a development consortium consisting of Urbis Living, which has been involved in the strategic redevelopment of large parts of South Bristol and First Generation (UK) Limited, a company that designs, builds and operates Combined Heat and Power (CHP) energy networks to service communities and industrial and commercial processes. The investment in ENE expands the Low Carbon portfolio to include CHP alongside our existing solar, wind, AD and CSP investments.

CHP is a key technology for delivering a low carbon economy as it can not only help to reduce energy usage, it can also reduce carbon emissions by up to 30% when compared to conventional generation.
